Ambo Lagoon
Club The Lagoon Club at Ambo is situated on a beautiful beach on
South Tarawa, where swimming is possible at all times, except during the lowest
tide. A traditional “Maneaba” provides shade, while drinks are available at
the bar. What was once a formal colonial club with a golf course is now a
tranquil, relaxed spot to rest your soul. Bring some friends and your kids
along and enjoy the recreational activities that are available: Swimming, Beach
Volley Ball, Pool, Dart and playground (with slides, swings, climb-up-bars and a
trampoline) for your Kids.
Taiwan Park & Dai-Nippon
Causeway Is a wonderful picnic
and relaxing spot for the public located just on the eastern tip of Betio
on the Dai-Nippon causeway was recently opened by the Kiribati government
to mark its friendship with Taiwan during Taiwan Presidential state visit
in 2005. It is a great place to come together with your family and friends
to picnic and to enjoy the sunny and cool sea-windy breeze environment.
The Dai-Nippon causeway where the park is located is accessible to both
swimming areas of the lagoon and Oceanside. You will find the best
swimming area at the bridge where the sea water is freshly clean from the
ocean.

Biketawa Picnic & Camping
Islet Biketawa Islet situated in North Tarawa is a perfect place for
picnics, camping, swimming and relaxing on its white sparkling sandy
beach. Otintaai Hotel organizes day picnic trips to the islet every
Saturday on the second week of the month with a fee of $10.00 adults and $7.50
for children under 8 years old, which covers your picnic package - Meal and
return transport. Bar services are also available on every picnic trip so
